Overdrive is your highest gear. If overdrive is off, it will stay in the next lowest gear, until the computer says otherwise.
You will know if OD is on or off because there's a light in the middle of the two larger gauges (near the turn signals) that will light up when OD is off.

 

i was just going 125 but that was at a glance cuz i wanted to keep my eyes on the road lol i was on the eway in toledo racing my friend in a i think it was a manual 95 2.0 talon we were head to head intill we had to get on the on-ramp (not sure if it was turbo) but i dont think so

 

LOL! Instead of guessing y can't we just put are cars on jacks and run it red? I mean will that work cuz of factors like the weight of the car, wind resist, and the fact I don't have a long enoguh extention cord to get from my house to my car to run a fan.

 

what why is you guys so fast??? mine blows ***** it stops me at 100!!! i can literly feel it kick in it dosent let me go any faster. i can be going down a hill and saty at 100.i can be going up a hill still at 100 no faster no slower.

 

Do you have the base model I4?

 

since i put my cold air intake in, it wont go any faster, not that i expected it to. but its hitting top speed for me about 118 and is at about 4000 rpms and feels like it wants to go faster. and i agree, there is no reason to go faster than that, except its so fun!!

 

The factory set the govener at 130 to prevent from having to supply "Z" rated tires on the cars ... since it's a pulse counter there are two ways to defeat it ...

 

I have had mine going like 135 and it didn't shut off... and i do not believe i had the overdrive off either.. cuz i was racing a mustang.. of course i lost lol but ya he was going 140 and i was just shortly behind him.. so idk what it shuts off at..
