Hey Bryan, what you'll want to do is get a compression test. The rest is your normal tune up, to include a new timing belt, pulleys (because the bearings can't be taken out), water and oil pumps.
Those are really the things that I would do when adding a turbo to an old motor. Those are really the things that can really mess you up if they're not replaced. The compression test is also a must. Poor compression means blow by and will blow out old stock gaskets. You may even want to consider getting a stronger head gasket and stronger head studs. They aren't necessary as long as you're not boosting past 10 psi and if you want to do that, then you should get the motor rebuilt and balanced with forged internals, 4 layer metal head gasket, ARP head studs, etc. I say that because, trust me, once you get a taste for it, you get addicted to it, lol.

It's hard to say Bryan. Some high milage motors will handle that with ease and some won't. The standard answer to your original question, is to get a compression test done first. A weak motor won't do you any good to turbo it because the turbo will speed up the degradation of the motor anyhow.

Here's what I would do, contact Avengerdude27. He boosted his stock I4. Here's some info from him. https://dodgeforum.com/m_719917/mpag.../tm.htm#719917
He's been there and he would be a great source.
