Default recommended books for learning auto repair?

Hi Forum,

I was wondering if anyone knows of any books to read to gain a better understanding of autos and auto repair. I know that the best way to learn is to dig in and get dirty but some supplemental reading would be a great help too if it exists!

Thanks for the recommendations!

As shadow says, check out the manuals available for your vehicle. Whenever I get bored and have little to do, not that often nowadays, I sit and go through my Haynes dakota manual or read through the downloadable service manual. Helps stuff make more sense when you start wrenching.

The FSM is great in my opinion. There are also a few good books out there regarding the rebuild of the magnum engine, I will post the titles when I find them.
