Default OBD port in 1992?

Hi,
Does the 1992 Dakota have an OBD port, and if yes, where is it located?
Is that the computer on the passenger side fenderwell?

I have a Scangauge II and would like to hook it up to my 'new' truck.
Thanks.

Yes it does have a OBD port. Yes the computer is on the passenger side. The plug is to the left corner of the firewall and fender. It is square with a notch cut out. It is not like the OBDII plug, it is just dangling there.

If in doubt always refer to the manufactures web site. The Scangauge II will not work for the Dodge Dakota. http://www.scangauge.com/support/Com...Vehicles.shtml

If your trying to read codes there is a very easy way. Turn on and off the key 3 times and read the Check Engine Light Flashes. The FAQ in the 1st Generation has all the details.

My check engine light is on- Go HERE to check your codes. If you need help with a code, please post the code, don't just say, "the code said something about ______"

Yep, that's it.

In the Factory Service Manual, it's shown on page 8W-54.

I'd HIGHLY recommend picking up a copy - Ebay quite often has paper copies on sale used, or autobooksbishko.com for the CD version.
