Question new HIDs not working

So I just installed some new plug and play 9004/9007 high low beam HID conversion kit in my 93 Dakota. They are not working I plugged my old halogen lights in and they worked so took them back out installed the HIDs and nothing, went and unplugged one hid and put in halogen and lights worked but HID one was really dim. Also noticed with both HIDs in my high beam indicator stays on. Is there something I need to add to get them to work? I read some put in relays, some had to swap their wires around. Confused and not sure whats going on. Any help would be appreciated

no they didnt they are the plug and play type so figured all you have to do is remove the old lights and install the new ones with the ballast. Not sure on the brand either my friend had bought them for me he has a similar pair for his Subaru and they work fine. Tried to find them online but came to a dead end.

so did alittle reading and the 9004 and 9007 are the same plug style but the wiring is different so going to rewire the the plug to the 9004 specs and see if that does the trick

So got my HIDS to work, switched the ground location with the low beam. Since they are 9007/9004 they will work for both light setups, only thing was my set was set for the 9007 plug witch had the ground in the middle low on the left, were the 9004 goes ground on left side low in the middle and high on the right. So now I get to see where Im going now.
