Default updates from Shadowthedakota

hi ya'll,

i know its been a while but i wanted to update you on the progress of the truck and life and such.

well as of right now the truck is parked. i was running parts for my daily driver, i took a turn at 35mph and the whole cab shifted. so when i got home i tried to tighten the cab bolts and all but 1 broke. well, here's a pic of the truck as she sits.

needs paint and with the little bit of rain we had while i was camping 2 weeks ago that's all the mud i could turn up without being kicked out of the camp grounds(which i did later that day for getting into a couple fights). i also towed a popup camper on the bumper hitch with no problem but she's definitely getting a v8 as soon as the funds come up.

my newest member of my driveway community is an 82 trans am with a carb'd 305 and 3 spd auto with 91,103 miles on the clock.

needs a little tlc...ok a lot of tlc, but shes a strong runner and i've already pissed off the neighbors the first day i owned it. and she needs new rear tires

theres only 2 spots of rust on it also(the battery tray and the left front inner fender).
heres my 03 hyundia accent(that used to get me 47mpg till the motor blew in a freak snow storm)

and the 240 horse 2.5l (CHRYSLER!) motor(same one that came in the pre-96 dakotas) with a fully built(racing) transmission(less than 1500miles on both) that's going to be stuffed under the hood.

yes i'm staying true to my roots.

and then my daily driver(98 intrigue) and my backup daily (04 odyssey)

but sadly all of my projects were put on hold as i was introduced to a beautiful girl who wrecked my world in 2 days but she was worth every second. sent me on a spiralling depression for a month in which i almost died 4 times(mostly accidental). for which i have recovered from and was almost back on my feet till my back gave out(and at the prime age of 23 too) last friday and like a fool i didn't listen to the doc's orders and wound up back in the hospital this morning.

i apologize for the life story but it all led into everything else and the reasoning that i have to replace the tires on all my cars

and drinking to the point where i've woken up in the middle of county parks with no recollection of how i got there, has been helping and very fun(except the sober drive of shame 20miles home...lol) which has been going on every friday night

You got quite a few vehicles! I am jealous. I wouldn't mind taking over one of those projects if you give it to me for free Got to get rid of that minivan though! Hope you get everything back on track with your personal life and you can get back to building up your projects soon!

Dang you got the good and the bad all rolled in one. Keep your head up and keep the wrenches turnin!

Alright another Trans Am gota love them. I had a 1982 Trans Am with the 305 Crossfire Fuel Injection. I dropped in a 350 lots of performance parts. I was working on a 383 when I sold it all. It was a Drag Strip only car so the look was a little out there.

that minivan is the only thing in my driveway that can tow a trailer since my truck doesnt have a hitch on it. walked in to the stealership to get a pilot and drove away with that van at half the price. the only thing i dont like about it is that honda used a belt driven transmission in it so we havent hauled more than 1800lbs with it.

mine has a carb'd 305 in it which i just threw on a new distributor(well slightly new), plugs, wires, and fuel filter on it and now it runs really well. there still is a miss at idle but when you get on the gas it runs great. ill be getting a 350 for it to rebuild. i need a left headlight assembly for it which is next on my list of trans am parts.

i was at a swap meet in Iola, Wisconsin yesterday and i found 97+ steering wheel for $10 (which i bought) and i found a guy selling a 93 ram with a 360 which i might buy in a couple weeks for a v8 swap for my truck(he said the frame is shot).
