Default Hola

Haven't back here in awhile, thought id stop in and check out what everyone's done with their rigs since I've been gone? Saw some SAS and what not.

Was away from offroading/4x4 for while due to me being stupid and selling my Dakota just because it leaked gas

Then life got in the way; work, family, bills etc. So I was driving a little old '93 Nissan Sentra, lasted me quite awhile (would recommend that car to anyone as a 2nd DD) But I still yearned for something to take of the beaten path. So I found this beauty (sorry Chevy haters )

1978 K5 Blazer (350-350T) 10 bolt front/ 12 bolt rear. Edelbrock 1406 Carb, built the roof rack with rebar and angle iron. Then some small piddly things here and there. Also the $30 paint job due to the bad brown/white paint scheme. Rust is next on the list then maybe some tires/lift.

Trusted my 2wd Dakota with more then this yet, kinda scared to test it out, haven't had a 4wd before so I'm working slowly into it. (sorry about the picture sizes)

nice find and i agree with crazy about the rust. you should have taken the sentra offroading lol. i took my intrigue offroading and made it through more than what most of my friends midsize pickups (mostly s10's) could. i didn't go deep though.

i, myself, actually just picked up a new(er) gmc 4x4....much newer....to complet my truck collection now and with an upcoming job change and pay raise i set my sights a roushe mustang(new of course) to rub in the face of my friend who bought and older(much slower) one....eventually of course.

my buddy bought a 87 foxbody last year. We did a computer swap to MAF, added a paxton supercharger, msd ignition, walbro 255 fuel pump, waiting to do gt40 heads/intake and replace the posi and ring gears since the previous owner replaced the 2.xx gears with 3.73 richmonds and a posi but didnt loctite or torque the ring bolts down so they all worked loose and fell out...So now were tearing into that to bump up to 4.11's.

Other than that im working on making my rig an expedition looking one, hopefully functional whenever i can get outta Nebraska (getting my CDL soon). Hoping on moving to South Dakota, preferably around Yankton/Gavins point dam area.

Glad to see you guys are still kicking up dirt with your dak's

and if anyone here does the whole instagram thing, mines --- kendall9991

I creep around the forums about every 6 months just to see what everyone is up to. Recently got rid of the K5 for something a little newer for the kid and my back. It's a 99 Blazer with the 4.3. Have had quite a bit of fun with it so far (about 3 months of owning it)

Went on a mini vacation this last weekend. Went to fish/hike Gavins Point Dam, SD (Yankton, SD). On the way back, about 200 miles, I drove 99% of the way through the "backwoods". Found some fun mudholes and what not on my adventure. Keep in mind, 4x4 is broken and it has 235 A/T tires on it.

Nice. A friend had one.
We put a 4" lift. Small fender trimming. Mounted 36" Michelin Military's on it.
Plus a 8 lug Dana 44 and a 10 1/2" 14 bolt out back with 4:10's. Easy swap and it was a great truck.
Plus we half cabbed it.

Get a winch.
