Anyone else have problems where they don't get notified about new posts ?

I have threads that I am subscribed to, and never get notified about them.
I end up having to check the subforums to see any updates.

Is this possibly due to me not logging out daily ?
I have my profile set for instant email notification.

The 'go advanced' option in the posting window opens up to allow you to select notification type when you scroll down on the new page. Mine seems to automatically select daily notification. Be careful as I was not logged in for a few months and the site sent me a fake email from a very old post I couldn't even find saying it had gotten a new reply.

BTW DO NOT click the link in the email you get log into the site by using a bookmark to it and then find the post it will have a green check mark in the column to the right of the title.
You never know if you've been spoofed until its to late.

I have been getting more emails from very old posts or posts that do not show up on the front page or the next several pages as having been recently commented in. Today I searched the title of the thread and it was there and had three more comments after me that I never got notified for.
I do not click the link in the email since they can be spoofed. I wonder if the system isn't kicking out these "notices" to keep us logging in.
