So from my build thread I'm dropping a 5.9L magnum into my 90 vert. The crate engine I bought was factory black but previous owner painted it hemi orange. I'm going to repaint. Period correct would be black for the magnum but what color was the shelby v8 as that is the closest to what I'm building. Or maybe paint it red to match the truck? Thoughts or any pictures from you that have blazed this trail would be great.

 

I like the original black, which is what I went with. Second choice would be Hemi Orange. Red would be OK, just not my choice - but that's just me.

The colors don't show right but I did hemi orange, black and chrome on my first engine build.
