Question Tire Tools

Good morning,

I have a 1993 Dodge Dakota, noticed the other day that the tire tools, the 3 rods and such are missing. The soon the be ex-wife had a habit of not putting things away in the proper place, they are not in the truck and the last time that they were used was in Florida and I am now in California and had moved several times since then.

Before I hit up the junk yards and E-Bay I was wondering what is the comparability between generations on these? While on E-Bay last night I saw several said 1991-1996 that would seem to work, then there were 94-97 and the chart said not compatible. Was wondering if this is fact or is it that different generation it automatically says not compatible?

Thank you for any help.

Hey Chris,
I don't know that I can answer your questions but I have the 94 and these kits all look like the one in my 1st gen. The kits for newer units have a hook on the end which I think deals with a different spare lowering mechanism engagement point.

This one has the rubber organizer which is pretty handy and the hoop that hold them down in place behind the passenger seat.

Good Luck

Op of you're still around I just got a 94 that has what you're looking for. Theyre useless to me and will get scraped if you dont want them. Pay for shipping (flat rate box via USPS priority) and maybe like $5-10 you can have em. I have paypal. Lmk

Edit: this is out of an extended cab so theres no cover, don't know if you have a regular cab or need that piece, but I have the tools anyhow.
