Default dakota truck

I found a 1988 Dakota for sale says 1998 but it is not. Ad says trans rebuilt but does not say anything about the motor or type of trans. It is a short bed 2wd dull 1 color paint ok tires but needs a cat. How many cats does these trucks have 1 or 2 and the tire size. Asking $1700.00 ans has 250,000 miles. Thanks

Mine had one; Walker claims 2 (one as part of the Y pipe, one downstream of that.)

Stock on my 1988 was 215/75R15 for a 2WD; 225/75R15 should fit if the springs aren't sagged, 235/75R15 might or might not (it's at the edge for 2WD, was stock for 4WD.)

Oh jeez $1700 and 250k for a 30 year old Dakota. Heck no. $800 max, unless it's a convertible which it isn't because that didn't come out until 1989.

With worn shocks, some dips in the road would bottom out (tire into the inner fender) on my 1988; then again, I WAS hitting them at about 80MPH.

Also, a hard left turn will lock the tire; a hard right, does just fine.

Hence my "might or might not without any lifting". Shucks, at 379,000 miles, the springs are probably sagging a bit ...
