brake light and abs light on dash stays on.
on my 1990 dakota. i didn't even know they had abs. also my parking brake is way out of adjustment. how do i adjust the parking brakes or do i adjust the rear brakes instead? someone told me my truck has no abs, is that true.
Adjust the rear brakes FIRST; then adjust the parking brake.
See the factory service manual which you should be ordering soonest.
1990; that should have rear wheel anti-lock brakes, by my notes; but they're not engraven on tablets handed down at the top of Mt. Sinai ...
Easiest way to check is to see if there's a sensor plugged into the rear diff. If so, then it's got RWAL or 4WAL; for that, there's a different controller and the ABS pump up at the front.
