Headlamp bucket adjuster cable removal?
I have two complete headlamp assemblies on order for my 1996 Dakota (purchased new) and began removing the old assemblies today (old ones are loose and so yellow I can't see at night-already polished 'em before one time).
I read on another thread that one just pulls on the adjuster cables to remove them, but with no details: pull where, pull what, which end? These cables have all kinds of plastic parts/ends and on the first pull I already snapped a very small plastic tab. So I am stuck until some kind soul can explain in detail how this things come off. My internet searches got me no where. Thank you.

I would turn the fitting through a 180* and see if there's a slot visible on the bottom; the FSM makes it sound like it just slips on and off.
But I don't know for sure, not having that style headlight on my 1988.
