ok, so i have a stock 1990 dakota sport 3.9L 2wd truck and i was wondering what is the biggest possible size tire that i can fit under there, b/c i have found a really good deal for a set of 33's and i wanna know if they will fit with out a lift of any sort.

i would say 30 x 9.50 or 31's, i had 30 x 9.50's on my stock 91 s-10 with no problems

rough country makes a 2 inch suspension lift for these trucks. I have it on mine but i switched out the add-a-leaf that came with the kit for one for a fullsize truck, because i wanted more height in the back. the kit is a spring sapcer and add-a-leaf, i picked it up for $120 at JCWhitney. i am currently running 30x9.50 mud tires with minimal rubbing on 15x8 American Racing Baja wheels. The only 2wd dakota i have seen with anything near 33s had this 2 inch lift (which actually came out closer to 3" on my truck) and a custom 3 inch body lift with 32x11.50 tires. no one makes a body lift for these 2wd that i have found, so you would have to have a shop custom fabricate one for you.
