Default 96 dodge dakota rough idle

Ok i have a 1996 Dodge Dakota 2.5L 2 wheel drive and im having some trouble.
when the truck is idleing it will want to die and if i start to go it will start backfireing
and its starting to make me crazy because i dont no whats the reason for it.
At first i thought it was my air filter because there was a crack in one of the
connectors but thats fixed now.whats going on!!! thank you

Is your "Check Engine"light on? If so, what are the codes?
It sounds like it might be an Idle Air Control Valve.
Possibly a front O2 Sensor, but more likely the IAC.
