Anyone know how much tongue weight can a 93 Dakota take without fipping over backwards?

Default Cargo+trailer carry weight

Sorry I wasn't too clear. I meant on a class III/IV hitch. Can the truck sustain 600-700 lbs tongue weight plus another 600 or so lbs in the cargo? What was the most that anyone ever carried over a long distance (1000+ mi).

yeah i would think so, these trucks are very dependable. im not sure on the most weight ive had, ive hauled full yards of dirt and stuff.the previous owner had a fifth wheel in the back on the dakota and he pulled an rv trailer. not sure how big but i imagine at least 10,000 lbs

i tow a small lobster boat which is maybe 4000 pounds with a tongue weight a little over 300 pounds. i dont think i would go any bigger than that off the tongue the way it handles. bigger the fifth wheel would be the way to go imho. with the flat face of the lobster boat the wind plays havoc and makes things wobble a bit. i havent towed the distance your talking about. the 93's look wider and a little longer, that might make a difference in your favor
