The only thing different from engine warm-up mode (open loop) and cruise mode (closed loop - when the engine is at operating temperature) is that computer receives inputs from the oxygen sensor AFTER the engine reaches operating temperature. I don't think a bad oxygen sensor would cause it to die though.

Is the computer showing any codes? If you don't know how, go here to find out. Does it just die quickly, or does it spit and sputter and backfire before it dies?

Might be the temp sending unit. When they go bad will not run right. I you replace it get it from the dealer. I got one from local auto zone and still had same problem took it to the dealer after $98 they put in new one worked fine.
