here is a stupid question, but since ive seen more startng questions lately i have to ask, how long a life do you get out of your battery in the early daks. ive had my 89 since it was new and i dont think ive ever gotten 3 years with one regardless of if it was expensive or not, i now buy the cheaper ones and regularly replace them when the starting problems start. i have always carried jumpers with this truck as my first battery when the truck was new lasted 1 year. its my only real complaint with this truck, still running the origional plugs and wires and it starts right up when the battery is good.

RE: life of your battery
I have an interstate battery in both my trucks now, the 88 use to go through them every year, but probly because of the stereo. put an interstate in it last year and the battery is still like new.
