hello im having trouble finding the valve cover gasket torque specificationson my 88 3.9. took a look in an old chiltons, but it did not have it. idk-y. im loseing alot of oil, keep filling it but it needs to be replaced asap please help thank you in advance

 

i found these in my haynes manual, hope it helps[/align]valve cover 1987-1991:[/align]nuts: 80 inch-lbs[/align]studs: 115 inch-lbs[/align]

 

Buy a good rubber gasket. The standard issue cork gasket will not last very long.
80 inch-lbs torque seems real high,maybe 8 inch-lbs ?????????
