i have a 95 dakota which is a 3.9. in have cut the muffler off and installed a cherry bomb glass pack and i am looking for a better sound, mayber cut off the catty on it. does any one know if that would make it sound better?

 

get a flowmaster 40. they sound pretty good on a 3.9

 

just go get a v8 and cut off the caddy and put a cherry bomb glasspack or a flowmaster on it

 

When I had my 3.9 in, I gutten the Converter and put on a Flow 40.

 

On my dakota i gutted out the cat too. we have smog checks so the have to see that there is a cat. my truck passes no problem with out it. Now that i did gut it I did notice a more tone to the exhast I do know it sounds better. cut it off if yo have no smog laws or gutt it out if you dont want to spend on getting a pipe installed. the glass pac will make it sound good too but i say a flowmaster is better. ether way it will be better than stock.

 

Id cut mine off but here in CA we have the strict smog laws Ive talked to guys who have cut there's off the cops pull over look under the truck then give them like $500 fine[:@]
