Default Fuel gauge problems...

I have a '92 Dakota 3.9L with about 125k miles, anda couple of weeks agothe fuel gauge started bouncing back and forth on occasion, and would do this with any amount of fuel in the tank (full, half-full, quarter of a tank, etc.) Today, the gauge totally died. The fuel gauge is marked with Empty being about 10 o'clcok on the dial and full being about 2 o'clock on the dial. Well, the needle just dropped all the way past empty to the bottom of the dial.

Any suggestions?

Welcome to the Mopar world. You can't get one that a gauge lasts. My fuel will work til 3/4 full and that's it. I got roughly 400+miles to the tank in my 3.9. I would just continue to set the trip and watch that for fuel. Definately wait until the pump goes to work on it, not worth it.
