friend of mine's dakota has a mis-aligned box or cab; wondering how to go about re-alinging it

may have a bent frame. Either way loosen the bolts that hold it on. (probably underneath the truck) adjust the bed as straight as you can and then tighten the bolts down. (you may want power tools, impact gun)
