just out of curiosity, does your friend have a standard or extended cab on his truck, and where did he put the subs in the truck? I have an extended cab and what I honestly want to do is find like a 10" shallow sub to mount under my seats. I would even settle for an 8" but I just don't want to sacrifice the little storage I have under the back seats for subs.

I have an extended cab and have a 10" that sits on the right side seat. I have some extra wire attached to move it if I need to get into the jack sotrage and the left side compartment is easily accessbile. Lets face it no one except a midget would fit back there anyways!

As far as gaining 50 hp youre looking at putting in the V8 (assuming he has the 3.9L V6) There isnt much you can do otherwise. Intake and exhaust help but sure not 50 hp.

he has them on top of the seats in the back.. but if you wana find out about some good shallow mount subs go 2 www.sounddomain.com they have helped me with alot! and a8 should fit just fint depending on how the brackets are under the seat.. i suggest you measure it.. i havent really dealt with my friends truck so idk how big it is under there.. butthe box is the thing that has 2 fit under the seat but still giving the sub woofer 2 b able 2 move.. o and dont buy audiobahn or some ****ty brand like that.. most mainstream stuff looks nice and is flashy but sounds like ****.. but yeah if you look ask around in the subwoofer solutions part you should get tons of help (i have the same sn on that forum 2) o and i forgot 2 mention he already has a glasspack.. i think he has a v8 in there.. 5.1L? i already told him 2 do a intake so idk wat else he should do.. lol neon boy stumped u!

Ok your boy with the 92 kota... IF it's a 3.9 and he wants to just make it a lil more fun to drive try the venom controller and stiffer rear gears, 3.9 was meant to be a workhorse, but not really twist high revs or build HP quick... As far as the subs go, I've seen someone rework that area under the "jumpseat?"in the ex cab intoa box for a pair of solobaric 10's. It sounded nice and clean but if you want a "show" truck i'll give you a tip: TRUST me 57 inches is the widest possible box you can shove in that cab, and that's without the interior panels, seats and belts out, door rubber off, and two guys shovin with their legs. But it's nice to have 4 12's and still see the whole back window lols!
