Default 1994 dakota. a questions..

I'm interested in buying a 94 dakota from someone.

It's 4wd, 99k, clean interior, very little rust, the only problem the owner says it has, is a bad water pump. She's asking 500 bucks.

I don't know how to change a water pump and all I'm asking if it's worth buying.

That's a steal.[8D] Definately. Low miles, the trucks last with barely anything wrong.. Pick up a Haynes manual(20bucks) and it should show you how to replace it. The pump isn't that much.. Or if you wanted, you could fix the issue and turn around and sell it for a couple Gs

The haynes manual will show me step by step how to fix a water pump?

Water pump isnt too bad. About $50 from a parts store and 2 hours of labor. If you are mechanically inclined (i.e. you can do a tune up) you should be able to handle it. Just remember where each bolt goes since they are all different lengths and it can be a pain to put back together if you forget. Dont ask me how I know...

If you cant do it yourself just have a mechanic do it just dont let it sit because you could be leaking coolant so make sure you check the coolant level before you drive it and add water if needed.
