Default a few problems

Hey guys:
Got a few simple problems if you guys can help me out.
1. after a long ride my check engine light comes on, it doesn't flash or anything and as soon as I turn off my truck and turn her back on again it goes away. Truck works fine.
2. My truck seems to be using alot of oil. I can't seem to find where its going to. Also my oil gague works but I don't think its accurate.
3. I think my front shocks are leaking fluid.

Thanks in advance

Default RE: a few problems

What year, model, motor? Etc.

If you have over 50k-75k on the shocks, that's usually normal for them to leak. Basically telling you it's time to replace them.

As for the oil, does it smoke any when you start it up?

The engine light could be caused by a sensor going bad, you'll want to have that scanned when it is on to tell you exactly what and where it is, it could also lead you to your oil issue.

Hope this helps.
