I replaced the trans. mount on my truck(5 speed) and now the speedometer doesn't work, any ideas why?

 

You may have broken/unplugged the spedo cable.

 

My odometer doesn't work; I replaced the cable, but didn't fix it...

Firsttime, I think Bad96 might be right on yours.

 

Make sure the speedo cable is properly seated in the driven gear. The end of the cable fits into a slot in the driven gear. If it isn't seated properly the driven gear won't turn the cable, it just spins but the cable doesn't turn.. Pull it out and re-insert it and tighten down the collar.

 

Thanks for getting back to me, my speedometer is electronic (no cable) now it started working but only when it feels like it, kind of like me!!!
