Default Engine swap question

Is it possible to replace a '96 2.5 (jeep motor) with a '94 mopar 2.5 with relative ease? The '94 motor comes with all electronics and the transmission. Has anyone done this swap, and are there compatibility issues with wiring , mounts etc. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

i think they are the same motor.
i read someware that crysler dumped there 4 cylinder for the jeep 2.5 in the early 90s, on there truck line. (dakotas)
if this is the case it should be a bolt on affair.
but you have not said what is it out of, and what it is going into.

Has anyone ever tried to put a 4.7 in a Gen 1? I'm thinking about it because I feel like the poor little 3.9 is about to cash out.
