Default 93 dakota code 52 - engine rich

SO problem i have is everything will be working just fine and all the sudden the engine will run REALLY rough and after a while it will just go back to norm all the sudden ... been getting worse latly tho . Code says its52 , engine too rich .

So with fuel injection , what would be causeing it to run too rich ? I know on a carb I can just adjust things , but im new to the injection . I have about 130,000 on it , so i was thinkin of replacing the injecters anyways ... But I dont see how they could just all the sudden do that ... any ideas ?

Your problem could be your O2 sensor. Its reading wrong. If the O2 is bad the computer will adust for its reading. The best thing to do is first replace it. If it still occurs. You could have bad gas or a sticking fuel injector, its staying open too long. Most Dealerships can do a fuel injector flush. That should work to clean the injector.

most common causes are the O2 sensor or the map sensor. Try the O2 sensor and some fuel system cleaner. If that doesnt work, have the map sensor tested.
