Default Headers & Oil pressure sending unit

3quick questions. If I bought a pair of gibson headers would they line up correctly with the Y pipe? And is the oil pressure sending unit right there next to the distributor? If it is, do I get that part from the dealer cause mine broke?

Check out http://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...755+115+400224The discription says bolt on easy. So I woul assume they are direct fit. I have holly headers they were. I belive all or most shorty headers are direct fit. Ya the oil pressur sensor is next to the dis. You can get it any auto parts store. Try autozone.com its listed for $22.99

the reason i asked about the headers was cause my dad said if i put headers on i would need a new Y pipe, i thought that sounded funny. Then with oil pressure sender I was lookin through my haynes and factory manul and the only mention of it was in the factory manual and said i needed a special tool to take it out but im sure i can get it out. Heh get this the oil pressure sender was pretty much ripped in half and leakin oil and it was still sendin the correct oil pressure weird.

You dont need the special tool. But it makes it easyer. it basicly is a large deep socket. I forget what size it is like a 1 1/4 or somthing. If you buy your new one you can buy a deep socket for it if you want. but some chanel lock pilers will work just grip on the metal and not the plastic. and dont tighten too much. easy to do. Some headers do need a new y pipe but under the discriptions it will usually tell you it does. Long tube headers always do need a new y pipe.

Buy the correct socket for 10 bucks and save yourself the hassle. I had to change mine in the parts store parking lot and it took less than 10 minutes. My daughter wouldn't hold the flashlight still so it took longer. LOL

Nice k im gonna try and find 1 1/4 deep sock then or buy a set. One more question if i got headers do they come with the EGR hook up? Cause I forgot the EGR valve hooks up to the factory exhaust manifolds.

On mine it does Hooker headers. I guess look at the discriptions and see if it says if it does. On the summit page it looks like it will. I dont say but the years listed for it says 92-95 and those years had the EGR. call summit to dubble check.

Fox, let me know if you notice a difference when you install the headers. I have been thinking of them for my truck but just haven't pulled the trigger.
