Default remote door locks/starter

Has anyone installed a remote starter and keyless entry on a 1st generation? I have a Commando system I might install....The wiring diagram looks pretty simple for the starter portion, but some of web sites I've found advised I need external relays for the door locks.

Ya I have both. Its not that hard to install. The only hard thing is the door locks. You will need two small realys. I got mine from radioshack. You might be able to use the usual black relay but I burnt of one of my alarm sys. with it it pulls too much power. I went with these small blue relays. If you need I think I can make a quick diagram for that. The rest is easy. just take your time and make good connnections.

I have a few Bosch relays and wiring harnesses for them. Where did you mount the relays? I assume you need one for lock and one for unlock. Did youseperate the drivers and passangers door for driver's priority or do they lock/unlock together? I foundthe wiring codes at www.the12volt.comI'll probably solder all my connections.

If you go to the 1st gen dak. FAQ there is a good wiring diagram. http://www.jameskowalski.com/Dodge/1...ota_Wiring.pdf
The lock switches are on page 92. Sheet 56. There are all the details for anything just incase you need it. I made a quick guide for you. I hope its simple enough. Let me know if you have anymore questions.
