Default What can i use from the swap?

What all can i reuse from the swap to the carb 318? I am going with th 727 torqueflight that is behind it, so will i be able to use the stock spedo? How about the rest of the electrical stuff? will it not like it with noting running trough the computer? i just need to know wht i can keep and what i will have to get rid of in the swap. and i am pretty sure the motor mounts are the same arent they? and are the brackets the same since the 3.9 is considered an LA engine too? Sorry for the question mass, just trying to get a ball park figure of what all i am going to have to do.....

i think as long as that 727 was made before transmissions had to "talk to" the PCM you should be fine. As far as all your guages and stuff, I really have no idea. I'd say just put it all together and see what happens.

Just use aftermarket guages as they would be more acurate as well.

Trans/motor mounts, you'll want an Oil Gauge that tells you the exact pressure. You could get a mechanical speedo out of an older Dakota and run the cable to work. You'll need an aftermarket Tach. I've kept my stock fuel gauge, volts and temperature for now.

I got rid of my computer. Too much hassle to do sensors and crap. Luckily I don't have emission tests, etc in my state.
