96 4wd jumps out of 4wd
purchased truck this summer. tried 4 wd for first time this week put in and out of 4w...and jumped out a couple of times ...any help out there. makes me nervous about pushing it hard this winter.

There is an adjuster on the shift linkage. Try to put it in 4wd, then while it is in adjust it a little so its tight. and keep on moving it and adjusting untill it feel like it locks in.
