Default Upholstery repair recommendations

Can anyone recommend a method to repair the vinyl on vinyl/cloth seats? I have a silver dollar sized hole in the vinyl by the seam on my driver's side seat by the lumbar support arch. I have some of the pieces to the hole in my glove box. The hole started out as a tear along the seam and progressively got worse with age.

Thanks.

I had a rip by the handle for the back of the seat. I had completly taken it off and had a upostry shop replace that pice and it costed me $20 and 5 for the material. So maybe if you could find a shopthat can do it if youcompletly take off the upostry. It comes off of the foam easly.

have a professional do it or else its just gonna tear again. Or invest in some quality seat covers.

Hard to repair.

there are some good glues called 'Plastix' and "For Plastics" that have a separate 'activator' that you put on first...these are fast setting and much stronger.

there is a very versatile & strong...but slow setting repair material
first used on the fabric of camping tents called
"Seam Grip"
that works wonders when used properly.
Practice before hand.
