What the difference?
Im lookin at getting a shift kit for my dak and ranger but I was lookin at Transgo and there is a shift kit ($30-$50) and reprogramming kit ($100-$120) what is the difference or which is actully better?
According to their web site it looks like the shift kit is to smoth out shifts.
The reprogram kit alows you to shift it like it was a manaul tranny, with out distroying every thing. So basicly for racing aplications.
Below is what their web sites said about the kits.
Shift Kit: Separator Plate Included
Firmer Lockup-Reduces: OD Planet Failure-Soft
Shifts-Drainback-Lockup Slip/Burn
Vent/Side Seal Leak.
Has High Temp rings for heavy duty use.
HD & Perf Truck Reduces no shift complaint
Reprogram Kit: Separator Plate Included
Automatic Shift; Street or Full-race;
Holds 1st, 2nd and 3rd to any rpm;
Back shifts to 3rd, 2nd and 1st at any rpm.
Competition combination.
