Default 96 Dakota dies

Have a 96 Dakota and having a problem thats getting to me. This truck ,I can drive a few miles aqnd it just shuts down and will not start. Can let it sit awhile and it'll start up fine and go for a few miles. It's almost like when everythings gets at operating temp. that this happens. I thought it was fuel pump and changed it but does the same thing. Help!!

This is a 4 cyl. with only 76000 miles on it.

I'd guess a bad crankshaft position sensor

this happened to my moms buick lesabre too! we KNEW it was the cps but after changing it she continued to have the same problem. There were two on her GM 3.8L. Replaced the rear one and WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO!! Never staslled again! From asking around, the bad CPS causes the same problem no matter the vehicle or manufacturer! Hope this helps!
