im still not sure what the flywheel cover is...

Default im still not sure what the flywheel cover is...

ok you know how you get under the truck and you find where the flywheel is.....the thin metal plate that you have to remove to get to the flywheel. what is that? ...because its kind of dented and rubbing against the flywheel and making a horrible ticking noise..i need to know what to get to replace it...help me out..

It is an inspection cover. However it may not be called that in the parts book. Don't worry about it. Go to the dealer parts counter and tell them you need the inspection cover on the front of the trans by the flywheel (of course they will want to know the year and model also).

They will bring up a picure of the parts breakdown, show it to you and say something like "Is this what you need?" Go from there.
