Default Problem with rear end....

Hey, I got a 94 Dodge Dakota 5.2L V8 4X4 truck. I bought it used this year and its been a great truck so far, but I'v noticed it doesn't hook up they way my buddys does. So being winter i took it to a snowy parking lot. I put it into 4X4 and when steppin on the gas only 3 tires had power, the read driverside doesn't have power, same thin in 2X4. I'm a little confused can anyone help me out?

this is perfectly normal a 4x4 really only has 2wd because when the 2 driven wheels lose traction the driving wheels just walk around the spiders. Now a 4x4 with a LSD or posi in the back is really a 3WD and a truck with 4x4 and a LSD in the back and a locker in the front is a TRUE 4x4.
