stalling issues
i have 92 dakota 3.9l , the problem im having is that the truck stalls out while driving some times after is first stated. while driving when it stalls i have to pull over come to a complete stop wait a few minutes and then it will fire up.i have replaced to fuel pump, distributor, cap&rotor, plugs, wires, crank sensor, pick coil, tried an ecm and after all that still the same thing. if anyone have any ideas it will be helpfull. thanks
Do you have a in-line fuel filter? My 90 has one on the drivers side on the frame. I guess they stoped useing them in later years don't know about 92. If you have one replace it sounds like the problem, maybe?
it dies at idle, but mostly when im driving at just below 2000 rpm. i have checked the relays, looked for vacuum leaks with carb cleaner, the iac has checked out ok. the bulkhead connector on the firewall had a bad terminal and was replaced, but still the same. the engine runs strong no hesitating it just shuts down. I tried the tps and map sensors but that did nothing.I forgot to mention that i replaced the O2 sensor, catalytic converter and the rest of the exhaust. the codes i get are 12 and 55.
