Default Bad throttle cable

Hey there fellas, im new to this site and ive got a few questions if anyone can help?
I gotta 1996 dodge dakota sport 2WD, my throttle cable, from pedal to top of engine has some burrs on it. When i first bought the truck, under full acceleration, the cable would get stuck in the sleeve. After some filing and some grease, I havent had this problem anymore, but it always looms in my mind. I called all the local parts stores, they all say its a dealer only part, and the dealers say they dont stock it anymore. What do i do now? Anybody got one, i could buy from them? Thanks for the info fellas.

hmmm well that surprises me about the dealer cause I can go to my dealer and get almost any part for my dak, but the other thing you can do is go to a junk yard.

I have thought of that as well, but my local yard doesnt have the selection of trucks you would want to find and the others are very, very far from me. I think that in the end this might be my only option.

Ya junkyard would be my first susgetion. You can also get one from Ram around the same years. Thats what I did. The cable got stuck on me and I could not slow down I got pulled over for it too. Fix it as soon as possible. This site says they have it in stock. http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...?siteid=214583

Default cracked block???

I was at the store recently and saw light amount of steam from under my hood, i drove to a friends how and popped the hood, i found lots of steam, leaking fluid, nothing in the radiator and no presure in my hoses. He got down and found a round about area of steam and fluid build up on my frame. We filled my radiator with coolant and started to run the truck, in the area around the lower hose coming out of the water pump, was a stream of coolant pouring out like it was being shot out of a squirt gun!!! He thinks i might have a cracked block, im going to investigate this better in the day light, but if it is a cracked block, is there anything i can do? Any epoxy or sealant that wouls work? Please any info, i cant afford a new engine right now. Thanks,,, DK
