code reading???

Default code reading???

is there any way i can troubleshoot by code reading on my 1990 dakota 3.9L v6?

Check The FAQ at the top of 1st gen Dak. there is a section about checking the codes. Get the codes then see what you get and start there. If you need more help then tell us your codes and well try to help.

cycle ignition on and off three times, third time leave ignition on and count the number of flashes, then a pause and then some more flashes. that is your engine code.

after you start the engine code cycle, you will get flashes. each code is a 2-digit number so if it flashes twice then pause then flashes 3 more times that would be a 23.. 55 is the end code so when you get that it's done with the codes
