my truck wont idle, i was told it might be the IAC but when i looked at the back of the throtle body therewas nothing there. If anybody knows where it might be at i would appreciate it. Also someone has removed the egr system and crimped the wires to it could this be the problem? The check engine light has never come on but it could also be burnt out any help would be great

if you have an 87 it is carbed, not throttle body injection like that picture suggests. also, on my 88 someone had removed the EGR system as well, but mine idles fine. it could still be a problem though.
