water pump

Default water pump

i just swapped out my waterpump, the thing quit on me yesterday....i have a 96 dakota club cab with the 3.9 6-cylinder.....there is a metal pipe coming off of it, and i cant seem to get it off without bending it...is there any tricks of the trade that i dont know, or should i just head to the junkyard/autozone and buy a new one? any info would be good, thanks

Are you talking about the steel tube for the heater hose? Get it out any way you can then go get a new one a your auto parts store....they are about $10.

They are know to leak. So getting a new one would be a good Idea. But there is a bolt that is holding it on torwds the top. and the bottom is just a slip on withan o-ring. just pull out you could try some wd40 or penitrating oil and wiggle it as you pull. Deffently get a new tube or if yours is still good get a new o-ring.
