Default Where is your C.B. mounted?

Ok Hillbillies.... I'm having a hell of a time finding a place to mount a small C.B. in "The General". A c.b. is imperative because of where I fish and hunt.... no cell phone reception, but there are always logging trucks in the area.... so it's my only method of communication if I break down. Now luckily I drive a dodge and not a Ford.... so I'll probably never need it.... but regardless... where the heck can I mount this thing???

When I got my truck it did have one! It didnt work so I throw it out. But It was mounted where the ash tray was. The mic holder was just above that.I did hower keep the cb atenna. I put a nice brass atenna I machined in its place and hooked up to radio. I dont know if it helps but I looks good. When ever I go out in the woods me and my boddys use hand held radios. With a police broadcast channel. Ya I know your suposto have a fcc licance to have these onesbut We dont use the important channels.

I mounted mine in my '95on my center console right on the part that slopes downward towards the floor, then my dad fabricated a plate that I mount my mic, switches, and horn button too. then I have the antenna cable routed between the console and the driver seat, under the rear floor mat, then under the rear seat and wedged between the rear "backrest" all the way up to the antenna, can't be seen. I also mounted a police band scanner in the center console and the antenna to that is mounted on the side glass right behind the driver seat (as I never open the side glass), all those wires are hidden and I have a remote speaker for it hidden in an innocent box on the back seat.

I mounted mine under the center speaker and my antenne is mounted to my tool box. The wires run under the dash to the clutch plug in the fire wall then under the cab to the bed. It looks clean. my mic is mounted where the screw for the dash is under thestereo. I used the same screw as the dash so i wouldn't have to tear up my dash with another screw or velcro. I will be posting pics of my new dash and some mods I have done so keep your eyes open.
