ok so i took the cluster out of my parts truck when i did i broke this little wire cable thing that came out of the cluster and into the steering column it looks like
before i swap it did i break anything crucial :P

I believe what you are talking about is the thing that controls the PRND21 indicator. If so, yea, its fine, that just won't work.

I just put a new gauge bezel in mine And i was going to put led's in the light sockets and I was wondering after the little wire you broke... How did you get it out. When I took mine out I unhooked the thin tranny indicater wire I could only pull it out another 4" but I couldn't pull it out any further. I was worried about pulling out an important wire and messing my tach or speedo or something.I felt back as far as I could but I didn;t feel anything else holding it in there. How far did you get yours out before you were able to unhook all your instruments?
