Default transmission yolk

I have an 87 dakota, 2wd, 3.9l, i was wondering how much play should there be at the yolk that slides into the tailshaft of the transmission? what i have seems like an awful lot. i am getting a vibration and the truck bounces while driving at any speed. gets worst above 55 mph. any help

Sounds like you have a seized U-Joint thats not allowing the driveshaft to rotate properly
