Default + plastic cleaning/painting HELP NEEDED !

im replacing my drivers side mirror with a junkyard replacement.(faded and old looking)
my other mirror is is great shape. (shiny and new looking)
does anyone have any tips/tricks to cleaning the old one up.. and make it look new/good?
any info helps.

ps) its a black plastic mirror.

If you have a truckstop close by, there is a product they sell in the cleaners area for re-blacking trim, I don't recall the product name, but just ask and someone there should be able to point you in the right direction. It should also be sold at most auto parts stores. As for the mirror glass itsself, some straight ammonia works best for me.
