Good move pdosburn, plan on a 5.9 Magnum swap for mine. Still original 3.9 with 200,000 miles and still strong. Hahaha..... still runs anyway.

My LRD does not have a number on it either., It's a 92 Magnum., I have heard all kind of stories about rariety, and net worth, but some rumors are conflicting, and the whole story is yet to be told., I suppose if the real truth be known, someone one needs to get a news hound sleuth from Mopar Muscle, or other Mopar Mag., to go to the catacombs and dig it out., It sure would be an interesting project.

I had one of these trucks. Custom ordered it with the 318 magnum, 3.92 posi (Later changed to a 4.10 then a 4.56), bucket seats and fully loaded. I had the stacks hooked up first thing in a true dual with H-pipe set up. It was one fast and dependable truck. I had it for 7 years and put 315,000 miles on it. Wish I had kept it as well as my first Mopar, a 1978 L'il Red Express Truck.

One thing LER told me about my order that was unique was that I ordered it with 7" rims up front and 8" rims on the rears just like the 1978 LRT's had.

The 92.

WOW. I bought mine from Leigh Chrysler in Goldsboro NC. The dealer told me he got it off the LER show floor at the Chicago Auto Show., That may be so much bull, but is sounds good., My truck came they same you you described yours., and it would "light'em up". I put 250K miles on it, right now it's going thru an update with a 5.9 magnum, RT heads., roller Rocker, and megasquirt ECU. Don't know if I'll hook up the stacks or not., I have a set of headers that dump into a single 3 in pipe., If this 5.9 turns out anything like the 5.2, it should be a blast. Let you know later., BTW. do you know anywhere a person can get a new set of Decals.

Am I reading something that is hearsay., or is it real. I bought a 92 Li'l Red Express Dakota from Leith Chrysler Goldsboro NC in 92. NEW. I have all the original sales documents., I would like to verify the production number, and find out any pertinent data regarding this little red truck., LER No. 97503 . I have heard all kind of stores. What I want is facts., If some one could direct me to an Authority that can verify the existence , and pertinent origination date would be greatly appreciated.

My 92 Li'l Red Express Dakota did not have a dash plaque on it when I bought it new from Leigh Chrysler in Goldsboro NC 12/22/1992. The LER # is 97503. I would appreciate any data regarding the truck, such as Production Number or anything, Thanks.

i don't have any other pertinent parts for the LRD, but, i do have a complete bed for sale. a friend of mine years ago had an exstensively trashed out 1990 LRD and it got scrapped. i kept the complete bed in case i wanted to put it on a short wheelbase dakota later. i never did. i'm located in henderson,ky 42420. PM me and i will get some pics if anyone is interested....
