I would like to tighten the bands in my tranny. I am moving in the summer to Indianapolis (About 400 mile trip) and I think that they need to be done. Can someone give me alow down on this, or if I shouldnt do it myself or what is required. I know nothing about this.

Adjusting the rear band (the only in the trans pan) is easy. The front band, not so much. My last transmission service I only adjusted the rear band, not the front band, since its tricky to get to. However, as I recall, the front band effects shifting of most gears.
