Default Mopar Performance Air cleaner P5249807

Hello everyone,I just thought I would post some pics of my recent project. I have been lookingfor a new air cleaner for some time and recently decided to go with the Mopar Performance P5249807 instead of going the K&N route for double the price. I had to drill out a 1' hole on the base plate then reuse the elbow and grommet from the old air cleaner to connect the line.I had to go down to the hardware store and get a longerstud for the wingnut stem. You will notice the shims on the stud because the threads didnt go all the way to the head of the bolt. Also, I put some screen on the air intake duct to keep bugs and rocks from flying into the engine compartment.

Apparently I can not post any pics at this time. No matter how smaller I resize the pics I get an error with "File size too large!" I will try again tomorrow.

If you are using Photoshop to size the pics, use "Save for Web"
It helps a lot....

Well I have tried paint and Office photo manager and I have the current pics sized down to 279X209 and its still saying its too big. Even though I have seen other pics on the forum and 320X209.

Well, I finally got the pics uploaded, and I am happy to report that normally the truck gets around 15 mpg but I just filled up at 101 miles on the trip. and only used 5 gallons!!! I cant believe I went from 15 -20 mpg! I also did something else that you can see in the pics, I used a regular piece of aluminum screen to cover the air duct to the left of the pic. Just to keep all the road debris and bugs out of the engine compartment. And the engine looks a little more bad ***

I bought mine from Summit racing. http://store.summitracing.com/partde...p;autoview=sku

And if you mention the cheaper price at Jims Auto Parts they will match it. https://www.jimsautoparts.com/mopar_...r_cleaners.htm

I paid 83, shipping included.
