V6 coil electronic suppression - why is it in my hand instead of on my truck?
I've driven this truck a total of four times now. This evening, I noticed a plug-end looking thing dangling behind my right front tire. Hmm... says I. This is probably not an appropriate location for this item.
If anyone can help me tonight, that would be great! I have to drive it tomorrow since I just blew the radiator up in my car (don't ask). This cable is about two feet long and has a plug at each end that looks similar to spark plug wires. I have no idea where it came from or where it goes.
Any idiot's guide notes would be appreciated!
Thanks!
Kathy
Edited: Further inspection makes me wonder if this is an old cable that was left in the engine compartment. The other visible spark cables are very new looking and have gray sheathing. The detached one doesn't look old/worn but it's black and not as shiny as the attached cables. However, I don't know if it's supposed to be in a completely different place. I wish my manual would get here soon!!! Thanks again for any help-

well first of all How does the truck run? Do you have any problems. Like missing or hisitating.I cant think of any other wires that look like a spark plug wire execpt for spark plug wires and coil. So if you get a chance take a pic. That would help more then anything!! So you might just have a old wire that someone forgot to throw away. Trace the wire. Pull on it to see where it goes. Is it there a plastic connector on it. is there more than one wire on it. Is it rubbery.Need more info!!
Sorry for the fuzzy/odd photos. We have no lights outside so I was pointing and hoping.

Thanks! After the last two days, I'm ready to panic over almost anything automotive. Makes perfect sense. And it may also eliminate the odd rattling I heard
I appreciate your time and help!
